Abstract

The article deals with the essence of sports management, types and principles of sports management, criteria for the effectiveness of sports federations, criteria for the effectiveness of sports club management. The article also provides information about the features of physical culture and sports activeties in a market economy, sports federations for various sports in Azerbaijan. The article states that the main feature of the sports industry is the special role of a specialist in production activities. The article notes that it is the specialists who are directly involved in the production of services, their level of education, qualifications, quality of work determine the quality of products and the level of satisfaction of society's demand for sports services.
