Implementation of metrological control of competition activities in sports through non-parametric significance criteria

Abstract

The article is devoted to the analysis of the mechanism of metrological control of competition activities in sports (especially football) using non-parametric significance criteria. Due to the attributive nature of some informative indicators characterizing the volume, comprehensiveness and effectiveness of tactical and technical actions, which limit the application of parametric (Student, Fischer) criteria: The Manna-Whitney criterion assessed the statistical significance of the difference between small samples at a certain level of significance. Mathematical and statistical calculations were performed on indicators obtained through the Castrol Performance Index (PCI) statistical program, which assesses the different qualities of athletes, depending on their position on the field.
