INVOLVING CHILDREN WITH DISABILITIES IN ADAPTIVE SPORTS

Abstract

This scientific article is dedicated to the issue of involving children with disabilities in adaptive sports. The article analyzes the benefits that sports activities can bring to children with disabilities, as well as examines the problems and challenges associated with organizing adaptive sports for this category of children. Much attention is paid to the issues of creating conditions for the participation of children with disabilities in adaptive sports, such as the accessibility of infrastructure, training of coaches and volunteers, and creating safe conditions for sports activities. The importance of support from society and the state for the development of adaptive sports for children with disabilities is also considered. The article provides examples of successful practices and programs in different countries of the world that can serve as an example for the development of adaptive sports and improving the conditions for the participation of children with disabilities in the sports life of society.
