Abstract

The article provides a detailed analysis of the essential psychological skills required for professional coaches. It emphasizes the importance of coach-athlete relationships, managing athletes' emotional states, enhancing motivation, and developing leadership qualities. Skills such as emotional stability, open communication, critical thinking, and strategic planning are identified as playing a pivotal role in athletic success. The article also highlights the significance of adhering to ethical principles and the coach’s commitment to continuous professional development. The integration of modern technologies into sports psychology and their impact on athlete training is also explored.

Moreover, the study examines how psychological support and leadership provided by coaches contribute to unlocking athletes' potential and improving their physical and emotional performance. The author stresses that a successful coach should not only possess technical expertise but also focus on the psychological well-being of athletes. The findings presented in the article demonstrate that a coach's leadership skills and effective communication significantly influence the quality of relationships with athletes and their achievements.
