THE ROLE OF HEYDAR ALIYEV IN MODERN PHYSICAL EDUCATION AND DEVELOPMENT OF SPORTS

Abstract

The role of Heydar Aliyev in the development of modern physical education and sports, the creation of the Republican Committee for Physical Education and Sports in 1968, the election of General Heydar Aliyev as the Head of our republic in July 1969, the awarding of the country's most honorary prizes as an advanced republic in the autumn of 1970, the transformation of the mass of physical culture into the national movement of physical culture in the republic, the decisive role of the meeting, held on June 21, 1974, paying special attention to the development of science in physical culture and sports in Azerbaijan in 1979, for the second time the return to power of the National Leader of the people Heydar Aliyev on June 15, 1993 to the call of the people, the establishment of the Ministry of Youth and Sports by Decree No. 861 of July 26, 1994, the establishment of the Sports Fund of the Republic of Azerbaijan on March 5, 1995, the allocation of a grant of 2 billion to the Sports Fund, the holding of the first youth forum of Azerbaijan Republic on February 2, 1996, or the first time the adoption of the law “On Physical Culture and Sports” by Milli Mejlis on December 23, 1997, the approval of the law “State Program for the Development of Physical Culture and Sports” on February 3, 2000, the awarding of the honorary name “Honored Worker of Physical Culture and Sports” and other issues are reflected in this article.
