RESULTS OF BOXİNG COUNTRİES İN THE WORLD CHAMPİONSHİPS İN 2017-2019-2021
Abstract
The World Boxing Championships were held from 25 August 2017 to 2 September 2017 at the Alsterdorfer Sporthalle in Hamburg, Germany. From September 9 to 21, 2019, the World Boxing Championship was held in Yekaterinburg, Russia. The weight classes have been adapted to the weight classes approved for the 2020 Olympic boxing tournament. The World Championship was held in Belgrade, Serbia in 2021. Here are the results of the boxing countries. For the first time in this World Championship, prize money was awarded to amateur boxing winners. Russian boxers are not allowed to use the name, flag or anthem of Russia under the WADA ban and the Court of Arbitration for Sport ruling. Instead, they participated as the Russian Boxing Federation and under the banner of the Russian Olympic Committee. In compliance with WADA's ban, Thai boxers participated under the AIBA banner as the Thai Boxing Federation.
