IMPERATIVE SENTENCES IN ENGLISH AND THE WAY OF THEIR USAGE

Abstract

Imperative sentences with different illocutive power differ from other types of sentences in terms of emotional power, and they have a special intonation. Imperative constructions are studied as a type of optative, which is one of the verb-shaped images. In the study of these sentences, special attention is paid to their explicit semantics. Thus, they express semantic meanings such as - command, incite, prohibit, call, offer, allow, curse,  recommend, and so on. Imperative sen

tences are divided into simple and complex. Simple sentences consist of one word, and complex command sentences consist of two parts. The sentences cover not only the second person singular, but also other persons. Types of imperative sentences and their peculiar features have been studied in sports termnology in the article.
